Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress most commonly known for her character Bo in the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk is a Canadian actress who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk are the fathers of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director and plays the role of drama instructor in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching at work and attending practice sessions for plays. Silk played a role as a young girl in commercials. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 after they met at an actor'sworkshop in Los Angeles. The couple was engaged in 2009, and then married in an unofficial ceremony in took place in December. They were married in Fredericton on April 10th 2011, they renewed vows following her change of religion to Judaism. Silk got a baby who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in May 2016. Silk has played a range of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for her performance. The Canadian drama Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale, and revealed this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that she was ready to return to working. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of final season of production. CNN Cable News Network named Bo as well as Lauren Zoie Palmer as the same-sex couple in Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared that they were the top Television Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most watched shows on social networks.
